Boutique law firm Cannon Heyman & Weiss’ website served them well for years, but ultimately grew outdated in both design and functionality. The new site features a fresh visual design and intuitive user interface.
Cannon Heyman & Weiss (CHW) has more than two decades of experience in public and private financing transactions and concentrates on affordable housing and community development law. Their team takes great pride in their quality of work, and so it’s important that their website reflects that.
CHW had outgrown their old website in a number of ways—it was not responsive, the colors felt dark and dull, the user interface was convoluted, and the overall design/style was in need of a refresh. Their hope for the new site was to improve ease of use, have it be visually engaging, and spotlight content like their team and client testimonials.
When designing the new CHW site, one of the first decisions we made was to liven it up with brighter, more saturated versions of their existing brand colors. The layout and visual style are clean and engaging but also exude an air of professionalism. The overall site structure has been reconfigured, so the user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. And, of course, both the public-facing side and back-end management of the site are built responsively.
We also took into account the content CHW wanted to place an emphasis on. We included a dynamic element on the homepage that displays every team profile in a collage layout, so users can put a face to the people that make up CHW. And we have testimonials being displayed at the bottom of each page to boost credibility and inspire confidence in CHW’s potential clients.
One of the most valuable features of the new website, though, is its customized content management system (CMS). CHW’s site is built using Ingenious’ own CMS, Infinitus. With Infinitus, CHW can easily update and manage their site’s content.
