At Cuvée Imports, they believe that consumers should feel connected to the wine they drink, and wish to work together with their producers to bring the full experience of wine to them.
The guys at Cuvée are truly entrepreneurial in nature. Through their extensive knowledge of vineyards in Europe, they realized that many of the smaller producers were not able to tap into the vast American market with their exceptional wines. So, Cuvée set out to change that — and provide a way for these smaller family-owned vineyards to distribute in the U.S.
Our part in the process was to create an engaging website that allows the consumers and distributors alike to learn more about each of the wines and the people who produce them – down to the differentiating stories, specifications and details. From an administration side, Cuvée is now able to easily add new wines, producers, etc. through their custom Content Management System (CMS) as their business continues to grow.
The end result is a visually appealing website that is supremely functional in nature — for both the end users learning about the wines and producers, to the guys at Cuvée making updates to their online catalog of products (and partners) quickly & easily. From a laptop or a smart phone, our custom content management system (CMS) allows them the freedom to make updates whenever and wherever they want (all they need is an internet connection).
UPDATE: After launching the site—and it becoming a priceless resource for their management of their catalog—Cuvée asked us to leverage our web-based application development expertise to enhance the site functionality for them by allowing the website data for each wine to generate a print-ready PDF on-the-fly—so their visitors (and they) could easily download the most up-to-date information in an easily printable or sharable format. We also added functionality to allow them to easily add and cross-reference vendors who sell their wines—including logo, linkable directions, website URLs and mobile-friendly phone number links.
It's the power behind building functional websites on solid codebase frameworks. It's what we do.
