Geraci Spine & Sports Medicine (GSSM) engaged Ingenious to design and build a website that not only looked good, but one that would meet their internal content management needs and the needs of their multiple audiences.
While the overall brand styling of GSSM did not undergo dramatic change, the updated design nonetheless gave the site a fresh, clean, dynamic new look. And it’s responsive nature is certainly an upgrade. The client gave praise, saying, “I just love the way the new site looks and flows. And it is so easy to manage.”
Primary site goals included: (1) clearly defining the services/procedures offered, (2) keeping current patients up to date, and (3) encouraging new patient engagement. To achieve these goals, respectively, we made sure to clean up the services layout/content, implement a basic, easy to use notification system, and made sure the new patient engagement opportunities—like filling out the required forms and contacting GSSM for appointments/inquiries—were easily accessible and stood out as calls-to-action (CTAs). In accomplishing these goals, the overall user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) were enhanced, as site visitors could easily navigate and interact with the website and its features.
One of the site’s secondary goals was to have a space dedicated to educational resources. Not only does a space like this keep current/potential patients informed and educated, it also caters to a tertiary audience—medical professionals. Dr. Geraci now has a simple way to communicate—across all audiences—his upcoming events/lectures and his plethora of valuable knowledge and resources.
As with all of our websites, we implemented a custom Content Management System (CMS), so the GSSM team can easily manage and update site content. The previous site had lacked the editing capabilities they desired, so we made sure to work with GSSM to ensure they had all the editing capabilities they would need to feel that they had sufficient control over their website and its content. The client expressed, “The CMS is absolutely a dream to work with.” And went on to add, “I have worked with three different systems and it’s not even close [how easy it is to work with]...”
