Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) is a health care facility in Western New York working to provide high quality, individualized care to their community.
Some primary goals of the NHC website were to refine functionality & improve content accessibility as well as maintain brand consistency.
Functionality was fine-tuned to allow for a seamless and simplified user experience. Users can now easily access key features including the patient health portals and telehealth resources. General content accessibility is pertinent to a site like NHC, so users can effortlessly navigate to important content like NHCs Health in Motion Mobile Unit information and COVID-19 updates. Working in tandem with user accessibility is of course administrative accessibility. We implemented a custom content management system (CMS), so NHC staff can quickly and efficiently keep content up to date.
An updated website and digital presence was one of the last steps toward NHC establishing uniform branding across platforms. So naturally the redesign we implemented reflected their brand guidelines.
The design and development of the NHC website was a unique project, as we not only faced the typical challenges of building a website, but also the atypical challenge of doing so during a global pandemic (COVID-19). We worked on an accelerated timeline to launch as soon as possible, so NHC could better communicate vital information to their community.
